Sporting Clays
Originating in England in the early 1900s, sporting clays have grown in popularity across the globe, especially in the United States. This exciting sport is designed to simulate hunting scenarios, with clay targets presented in various unique woods and open field situations on a challenging course that includes a diverse range of clay target presentations. We have 14 stations here on our ranch that are on a course that is 1.25 miles long.
5 Stand
Five Stand is a type of shotgun sport shooting similar to sporting clays, trap and skeet. There are five stations, or stands and six to eight strategically placed clay target throwers (called traps). Shooters shoot in turn at various combinations of clay birds. Each station will have a menu card that lets the shooter know the sequence of clay birds. The menus can consist of a 25 target menu or a 50 target menu.
Flurry Shoot
Typically a flurry is a side game for fun at a tournament or fundraiser. Usually we will set up 5-8 machines and throw 50 to 100 birds within a 1- 2 minute time frame. The targets are thrown in at random for 1-2 minutes depending on the amount of targets being thrown. Typically there are 4 shooters loading and shooting as fast as they can with two or three people counting the hits. Lots of fun!!
NSCA / MSCA Registered Shoots
The Big Timber Classic will consist of 5 Shoots with a chance to win a “Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon 1 Sporting”.
Shoot dates are:
May, 19th, June 30th, July 14th, August 4th, and September 22nd

KD Range
We have a state of the art covered range house with 7 shooting bays that overlooks a 1000 yard Known Distance range. This range offers paper targets at 100 and 200 yds and 3 MOA steel targets at 300 – 1000 yds. Also included on the range are a multitude of unknown range targets, animal silhouettes with steel plates in the kill zone. The range is set up to use all year round and will allow shooters of all skill levels to hone in your skills and provide an enjoyable experience dialing in your weapon or weapons of choice.
Confidence Course
The Confidence Course is a 4.5 mile long course set in the woods with 10 stations, and 15 silhouette targets with steel plates in the kill zone, ranging from 30 yds to 450 yds. The course is set up to hone your skills and learn to shoot in various shooting positions, while learning to acquire the target in your scope and shoot the target in a timed scenario. As we all know, the animals we hunt don’t always give us lots of time to set up and pull the trigger. This is why we have created this type of training discipline to help you as you prepare for your next hunting adventure.
Pistol Range
Our Pistol Range will help you keep you comfortable and confident with your sidearm. The more you shoot the more proficient you will become placing your rounds down range. We plan to develop our Pistol Range more in the future and offer a wide variety of shooting disciplines in the near future.
