Clays Shooting

Come experience West Michigan’s newest Sporting Clays Course. With 14 stations spread out across a 1.25-mile course, you’ll enjoy excellent presentations while shooting in a beautiful, wooded setting with rolling hills. Plus, challenge yourself at our 5-stand station. We look forward to seeing you on the course.
Originating in England in the early 1900s, sporting clays have grown in popularity across the globe, especially in the United States. This exciting sport simulates hunting scenarios, with clay targets presented in a variety of woods and open field settings. Our challenging course features 14 stations spread over 1.25 miles, offering a diverse range of clay target presentations.
Five Stand is a shotgun sport shooting discipline similar to sporting clays, trap, and skeet. It features five stations, or stands, with six to eight strategically placed clay target throwers (called traps). Shooters take turns targeting various combinations of clay birds, with each station offering a menu card to guide the shooting sequence. Menus typically consist of either a 25-target or 50-target layout.
A flurry is typically a side game played for fun at tournaments or fundraisers. We’ll usually set up 5-8 machines and launch 50 to 100 clay targets within a 1-2 minute time frame. Targets are thrown at random, keeping shooters on their toes. Typically, four shooters load and fire as fast as they can while two or three people count the hits. It’s fast-paced, exciting, and a whole lot of fun!

The Big Timber Classic will consist of 5 Shoots with a chance to win a “Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon 1 Sporting”.

Shoot dates are:

May, 19th, June 30th, July 14th, August 4th, and September 22nd

This range offers paper targets at 100 and 200 yards, as well as 3 MOA steel targets from 300 to 1,000 yards. Also included on the range are a variety of unknown-distance targets and animal silhouettes with steel plates in the kill zone. The Confidence Course is a 4.5-mile wooded course featuring 10 stations and 15 silhouette targets with steel plates in the kill zone, ranging from 30 to 450 yards. Made to sharpen your shooting skills, this course challenges you to engage targets from various shooting positions while learning to acquire and fire on targets under timed conditions. As every hunter knows, game animals don’t always give you time to set up the perfect shot. That’s why we’ve created this training discipline—to help you prepare for your next hunting adventure.
Our Pistol Range will help you build confidence and proficiency with your sidearm. The more you shoot, the more comfortable and accurate you’ll become. We have plans to expand our Pistol Range in the future, offering a wider variety of shooting disciplines to enhance your skills even further.
